Lack of Manners
Here is another pet peeve of Mine and I am a little bewildered at how W/we got to this stage. I have noticed in more recent years that basic letter writing manners in emails, text messaging manners and phone manners has largely disappeared. I am not talking about brief messages sent to friends or family, I am talking about all the people who contact others they have not met before and treat them like a long lost friend where manners just go out the window. Often when speaking over the phone for the first time, they even fail to identify themselves by name so that you have to ask who you are speaking with. This seems to be happening more frequently and not just in O/our kink community.
In terms of slaves and submissives contacting Me as a Pro Domme (and by default one would think that they SHOULD know better than to address a Mistress in familiar terms), the number who fail to address Me by name at the beginning of their email and/or don’t bother to sign off with their own name, is appalling. Then there are the slaves or subs who send Me text messages in the same manner – no addressing Me by name at the start of their message and more often than not, no sign of their name at the end of their message. And they expect to get a response from Me! For a start I need to know WHO I would be responding to and if I have no name, I will not bother replying.
It goes without saying that slaves and submissives should have enough manners to be respectful and polite to a Dominant Female (or Dominant Male) but many fail atrociously with even basic courtesy skills and this has been My experience when some of them communicate with Me.
Are lack of manners due to not being taught these in this day and age? Is it due to laziness because technology makes it so easy to communicate quickly and speed is all that matters at the expense of courtesy? Or has society become too self-centred to care about others to use basic courtesy in all communications?
I do not know the answer. I only know that I have had many discourteous communications over the last few years. In My case, let this be a lesson for any potential submissive or slave wishing to contact Me – use basic courtesy skills such as addressing Me by name and signing off your communication to Me with your name (real or fake) if you wish to get a response. That applies to emails AND text messages.
In terms of contacting ANY Superior Females and Dominant Males, be respectful and polite when communicating, especially on the first occasion, and you are far more likely to receive a most favourable response in return.

It would seem to me Mistress that the world is moving at such a pace that the things we used to take for granted as good manners have been tossed aside for no other apparent reason other than to fit in as much as one can in the 25 hours of every day. i am sure it used to be 24 with 8 hours of sleep. It certainly isn't taught at school.
