A weekend full of activity with a couple of play sessions yesterday and a vanilla dinner party in the early evening which had an Italian theme. I was busy on Friday making My contribution - a delicious Italian dessert called Tiramisu. It was My first attempt at making this dessert and it turned out to be a beauty (well...I made sure I put enough Marsala to take the breath away...LOL). I was particularly pleased with it as I was unable to find one Tiramisu recipe which I liked and ended up downloading two and combining aspects of both. As you can imagine, I had no idea if My version would work. It was a risk and one worth taking as it turned out.
My chauffeur arrived on the dot of 4.30pm and he had been instructed to know the route well or else. Fortunately the wild weather had eased up and the rain had mostly ceased so W/we had a straightforward run with no delays of any description. The purpose of the dinner was to celebrate Mistress Satet's birthday which was a fabulous night with amazing food and a great group of friends. My dessert was a huge hit and disappeared in no time which was most flattering.
I socialised for 5 hours and in that time, most surprisingly, I managed to drink one bottle of Pepperjack Cab Sav which had been given to Me for Christmas. It was obviously a very nice drop indeed as it is most unusual for Me to drink more than a couple of glasses of alcohol at any event as My slave well knows.
It was not a late night and I was back home not long after midnight. Probably just as well as I had maid marian coming over today at 2.30pm for cleaning duties - enough to keep her going for at least two hours. she did in fact end up working for two and a half hours. After setting her tasks, I sat down and caught up on My episode of 'The Bill' recorded from last night.
What a relaxing weekend it had been for Me and now I have to decide when I will next require My maid for further cleaning duties.
