A big day today with an early start and one My chauffeur was very much looking forward to. I had given him plenty of notice of his duties for this day so not only did I expect his car to be clean, but he also needed to know his way to the venue without any assistance from Me!

The first stop of the day was collecting Me at 8am and chauffeuring Me to My nail appointment. My daughter needed to be picked up at 9.50am so by the time My nails had been done, W/we could make O/our way directly to Brisbane.

It was a rather wet morning and became MUCH wetter as W/we entered the Motorway. Thank Goddess My chauffeur was driving. The minute the rain eased and ParkHer was not so intensely concentrating on trying to see only a few feet in front of him, he was instructed to play My daughter's CD and the remainder of O/our trip was filled with the sound of music and chatter.

Despite the extremely wet weather, W/we were not too delayed arriving in Brisbane and fortunately My chauffeur knew the route well.

The second stop was lunch. slave tate has been keeping his weight so well under control that I decided to grant him the privilege of joining Me and My daughter for lunch. I had My eye on a restaurant called The Point which was not too far from the theatre...or so it looked on the map. After walking past endless numbers of restaurants in Southbank, I was ready to turn around and find somewhere else when W/we realised The Point was staring right U/us from across the road.

W/we had a delicious lunch with a magnificent bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and even the interruption of an evacuation due to a persistent fire alarm did not diminish O/our fabulous eating experience. Having allowed plenty of time to have a relaxed lunch, W/we also enjoyed dessert followed by coffees before finally departing for a leisurely 500 metre walk back to the theatre. My chauffeur was given instructions to meet up with Us again at 4pm which gave him a good couple of hours of free time to entertain himself.

Fame the Musical was a sensory treat and being a fan of So You Think You Can Dance (both American and Australian versions), it was wonderful to see familiar faces so close on stage (Our seats were in the middle of Row A at the Lyric Theatre). Two and a half hours disappeared far too quickly and it was not long before My daughter and I had caught up with ParkHer, were back in the car and making O/our way home.

Although the rain had been constant for the drive to Brisbane, it had cleared sufficiently during lunch only to return for the drive back to the Gold Coast. The life of a chauffeur means he has to be prepared for all sorts of driving conditions.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with My daughter and having My chauffeur driving ensured My day was even more pleasant and relaxing. It was so fantastic that I will have to do something like this more often. ParkHer needn't think he will be accompanying Me to lunch on every occasion though!
